Following a weekend split of the rain shortened series in Atlanta the Mets return to Citi Field in hopes of finding some semblance of respectability against the 13-17 club from Chicago's south side. The White Sox will see the Mets, dare I say "ace", in Matt Harvey tonight. A Mets lineup that has recently featured the likes of Marlon Byrd and Justin Turner combined with the continued solid effort from the captain, David Wright will enter this interleague series with a 12-16 mark that has seen them win just 3 of their last 11 games.
Meanwhile following a four game sweep in Milwaukee the Cardinals will head into Chicago's north side to face the last place Cubs in the "friendly confines" of Wrigley Field for a quick 2 game set. The Redbirds (20-11), winners of their last 6, will send (5-0) Lance Lynn to the hill for the first game tonight.
