As our elected government leaders continue to haggle over the fiscal responsibility and the so called “debt ceiling” of our country, endless talk of Social Security reform and reduction has been a huge part of the media’s reporting of the ongoing debate in Washington. They speak of cutting ENTITLEMENTS including Social Security and Medicare as part of this bi partisan plan to reduce the nation’s budget deficit.

You don't need guts to read and send this little message on to friends, family co-workers etc....you just have to give a damn about 240 years of history and the blood, sweat, lives, tears and sacrifices that
AMERICANS before us went through to get us to today..

Entitlement! My ass, we paid cash for our social security insurance!!!! Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout!!

Congressional benefits include free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days and they have the nerve to call Social Security an entitlement!

Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with the people that run this country!!!!!!

We're "broke" & can't help our own seniors, Veterans, Disabled, Homeless etc.?

In recent months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, Turkey, and Japan. And even Pakistan (home of bin Laden).

Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired and disabled living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid and get few breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$'s and Tons of Food into Foreign Countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when it’s time for us to collect, the government is running out of money and wants to take it away.

Why was the government allowed to borrow from it in the first place?

We have countless adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, hungry children, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment…

YES the United States is and should be a humanitarian nation, we held a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents, clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.

Some of you may not care or appreciate that I posted this message but that’s what makes us AMERICANS...Let’s get back to taking care of US FIRST!

99% of people won't have the guts to forward this.
