2 of 3 From Cards .Bring on Da' Snakes & Comebacks

After taking 2 of 3 games from the NL Central contending St. Louis Cardinals thanks to yet another outstanding performance from RA Dickey and a big IKE Davis homer, the Mets (52-50), "welcome" current NL West doormat Arizona to Citi Field Friday night to start a 3 game set.

The D-Backs come to celebrate the Mets Induction of Darryl Strawberry, Davey Johnson, Dwight Gooden and Frank Cashen into the Mets Hall of Fame., with the 3rd worst record in MLB at 37-65 , 24 games behind division leader San Diego.

Arizona also brings a 7 game losing streak to face Mike Pelfrey and a "semi-hot" Mets team that looks to make some hay before embarking on a season defining trip to Atlanta and Philadelphia.

The D-Backs have also depleted their ranks by dealing away Dan Haren to the Angels in exchange for middle of the road Joe Saunders and sending 152 pitch "No Hitman" Edwin Jackson to the White Sox for promising Daniel Hudson. Those deals leave the pitching matchups as Ian Kennedy(5-8, 4.10) vs Pelfrey(10-5, 4.00) on Friday night , Barry Enright(2-2, 2.73) vs Hisanori Takahashi (7-5, 4.47) Saturday night and Rodrigo Lopez(5-9, 4.68) vs. Jon Niese(7-4, 3.43) in Sundays HOF matinee.

The Mets MUST win 2 of these 3 games to have any momentum heading into their 3 game series versus the division leading Braves in Atlanta starting Monday.

Congratulations and a hearty THANK YOU to Darryl, Davey, Doc and Frank. Your contributions to the history and success of the NEW YORK METS franchise has endeared you to the fiercely loyal fan base that exists and grows daily..

Keep The Faith Mets Fans....because as always

"We Believe in Comebacks"
